Scope

The Account Executive will be a contributing member to the sales team and will generate revenue in excess of his/her monthly quota.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed the $3,000/month quota and promote the goodwill of the company
  • Generate new business from a combination of networking and cold-calling new customers plus up-selling services to his/her existing customer base.
  • Analyzing CSRs and customer bills as well as speaking with phone and/or data vendors to develop proposals
  • Write and submit clean orders, track your orders to ensure they do not go astray
  • Review the 1st bill with new customers
  • Maintain account as long as it remains with us – this includes change orders and calls / site visits to assist customer service when needed.
  •   ttend trade shows (when applicable) and trainings when they are offered


Position Statistics

  • Meeting / exceeding individual monthly sales quota - $3,000/month
  • Completeness and correctness of orders


Experience Requirements

  • BA or BS required
  • 3+ years outside sales experience (telecom preferred)
  • Consistently meets/ exceeds quotas
  • Knows SLO / Monterey / Santa Barbara county businesses and already has contacts
  • Solid networking experience with chamber events, trade shows, etc
  • Excellent communication and written skills
  • Application / solutions-selling oriented
  • Strong appointment setting and cold calling skills
  • Customer focused – able to build and maintain strong relationships with customers
  • Able to work in an entrepreneurial, chaotic, and fun environment
  • Able to produce in a home office environment
  • Competent with Excel and other typical business computer programs
  • Knowledgeable of telephony and data terminology including LAN, WAN, POTS. Centrex, LATA, etc.

Scope

The sales support person will assist the sales team with many tasks to allow them to focus on generating new revenue and meeting / exceeding our sales goals.

This person also coordinates office maintenance and is responsible for event planning.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Sell smaller prospects who call-in so the outside people can focus on prospecting and selling larger accounts
  • Upsell to existing customers as requested by the outside sales people
  • Review orders for completeness and correctness then enter them into the order tracking system so they can be worked by provisioning
  • Assist top performers (Jeff, Vic, Janice, Robyn, and others who attain $1500+ / month) with orders and proposals to allow them to focus on selling
  • Pull CSRs, loop quals, etc as requested
  • Gather and compile sales / IAD projections
  • Generate weekly sales reports
  • Update the service order form
  • Take notes at sales meetings and send out to agents not able to attend the meetings
  • Responsible for coordinating office maintenance such as scheduling repairs of equipment (copier/faxes, etc), A/C & Heater, plumbing, etc. and oversee/monitor to completion. This includes coordination with landlord where applicable.
  • Responsible for company party and event planning; including but not limited to tradeshows, monthly birthdays, holiday parties, and summer picnic (or other activities).

Experience Requirements

  • 2+ years in the telecom industry – preferably as part of a sales team or in customer service
  • Personal experience with quotas a plus
